Agency Mission

The Council on Children and Families facilitates the development of strategies to remove barriers to service delivery and provides a forum for the resolution of interagency issues affecting children and families in New York State. In carrying out this mission, the Council oversees funding simplification, coordinates interagency oversight and the elimination of duplicative requirements, assists in accessing services for children with special needs and coordinates planning among agencies involved in early childhood services.

Year-to-Year Change

The Executive recommends an All Funds appropriation of $2,913,000, a net decrease of $52,000, or 1.75 percent, related entirely to a loss of federal funds.

Legislative Changes

The Assembly makes no changes to the Executive's proposal.
