Agency Mission

The Office for Technology was established in law in 1997 and continues the activities of the Governor's Task Force on Information Resource Management. The roles of this Agency are to help other State agencies and local governments with the selection and implementation of computer equipment and to direct the development of Statewide information resource policies and strategies. The Office is also the coordinating agency for the Consolidated Data Center initiative and acts as the oversight agency for implementation of the Electronic Records and Signatures Act, which was signed into law in 1999.
