ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT, ANALYSIS AND INVESTIGATION
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry Committee oversees the State's economic development programs as administered through the Department of Economic Development. In addition, the Committee is responsible for the State's Alcoholic Beverage Control Laws. The SFY 2009-2010 Department of Economic Development's budget was an estimated $52 million and the State Liquor Authority's budget an estimated $18 million. Others under the purview of the committee include the Foundation for Science, Technology, and Innovation and the Urban Development Corporation. The purpose of this hearing is to examine the overall impacts of the 2009-2010 budget on economic development programs and enforcement of the State's liquor laws.
Ten copies of any prepared testimony should be submitted at the hearing registration desk. The Committee would appreciate advance receipt of prepared statements.
