The Subcommittee on Catastrophic Natural Disasters is empanelled to review and discuss matters referred by the Standing Committee on Insurance including, but not limited to, state policies on insurance coverage and regulation relating to natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, ice storms, etc. The subcommittee may, at the request and direction of the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Insurance, hold forums and meetings on such matters, and provide input to the Committee on specific policies and legislation.
