Agency Mission The Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) regulates and controls the manufacture, sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages in New York and is responsible for licensing all establishments serving alcohol throughout the State. The Agency's enforcement powers are established in the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law. Year-to-Year Change The Executive requests $13,664,000 to support the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2001-02. This amount represents a decrease of $636,900 in State Operations from SFY 2000-01. Legislative Proposals The Assembly plan provides $110,00 to fund the restoration of two positions in the Agency's Compliance Program. This will enable the Agency to more adequately meet its responsibility for investigating complaints of alleged violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.
